Why Filipinos are so phony, gullible and so insecure? Have you ever ask them about this ? Well, you may ask me to speak on their behalf being one of its citizen.
You could probably see that most of them are happy and don't give a damn being a poor. They just laugh at problems and think that it will be solved on its own. They are so positive that makes them so naive about reality. They are programmed to be gullible on the things they see externally. They like to brag about their achievements like they needed to prove something.
They are so insecure about the unpleasant things that other countries are expressing towards our culture but had never tried to ask they're selves, why they're making such a statement. That maybe, there is really something wrong which we should change. Unfortunately, they reciprocate it will all the hate and curse them to death which is an immature act (RIP Filipino dignity).
They think that hanging out in the clubs, eating or drinking expensive coffee, tea or whatever will regard them as someone whose rich or at least a step higher from another person. They work hard so much to spend on Iphone 5s which they cannot afford. They apply for credit cards and show off to their friends or colleagues. They like making story about someone and belittle them. They are bullies when they see unusual things and try to make fun out of it.
They are crazy people when it comes to correct spellings and grammars as if they where born in an English country. They speak English because they feel smarter when they use this foreign language. They try too hard to copy foreigners and to be like them. Tagalog is a great language. We should be more proud of it.
In addition to that, they are delinquent. for Pinoy's crimes are normal phenomenon of life. The police is just a police by name and sadly there are much more unresolved cases than resolved stories. The Justice system is more focus on approving cyber crime law. They love their family so much that they break the rules for them. They can easily persuaded with bribes and make it as a business. They resonate that throwing pieces of garbage outside the car or in any places is okay and could provide work to metro aid cleaners so they will not get fired.
Moreover, they tend to over spend from their budgets just to celebrate a party or a christening. They think being rich is having a car and a great home. They like having foreigner friends instead of their own people. They like people who have a mix of blood from outside and half of their own-- which we see on our TV's --acting.
The worst thing of all was that they're voting government officials in terms of popularity. It explains why Champ Manny Pacquiao was elected as a congressman and Action Star Bong Revilla was now a senator who are on conspiracy with other senators about corruption (BTW he is in Jail now, serving his crime). This is the reason why Philippines is getting bullied by China. I will never be in shocked if China will get all our islands because Filipino's focus is more on getting updated to Moon of desire or Teleseryes.
By the way, I'm a hundred percent Filipino but this is the reality. If Philippines is truly getting better I should not be working in a different country now just to support my family. I don't understand most of them, being envious about people working abroad which they don't now that its very hard to be a slave of another country.
Philippines will still be the same. Nothing has ever changed, they are getting worst. They are still colonized by other countries by mind and culture. Their main focus is entertainment and being pampered. They want to get prettier and have that white skin when all of us are born with that unique dark skin taken from our great ancestors. They love stories about mistresses and getting rich by doing a crime--Check out some movies, tv series which are made out of it.
I still hope that someday all Filipinos will be someone I could be proud of to share. That Philippines is not just more than fun but someone with dignity and courage. I am writing this because I wanted to educate you about what is wrong with us. I have experienced it before for 20 years and I don't want you all to fly over to any different countries just to have this same realization. If some of you will take it as a bad compliment so be it. I wanted to be proud of my own country but I can't because we needed to resolve this.
Great job explaining the Filipino mentality.
ReplyDeleteOnline there will always be a bunch of filipinos making blanket derogatory statements about other people (especially other Asians) while talking about Pinoys as if they were the best thing ever. That especially happens when the topic is something like: beautiful east asian actresses. Well that does NOT reek of insecurity at all. :)
ReplyDeleteHi. Thanks so much for this article. I very like it because it corresponds a lot with what I'v experienced in the Philippines when I went there. I am Canadian and got married with a woman from the Philippines. She's awesome like almost no other women here but I noticed many things that stunned me a lot in this country. There are many observations and opinions I'd like to make and knowing myself, if I don't put a stop somewhere I will continue writing until the day of judgement.
ReplyDeleteThe Filipino pride? What is it? Based on what I observed it's a lie that has been created to hide a massive complex of inferiority. Filipinos say they are proud of their culture but in reality they tend to hide and deny their culture to foreigners. Filipinos are proud when they imitate westerners. I saw many Filipinos smiling and being happy (or pretending to be happy) but feeling some Filipinos being proud? I don't remember having withnessed this. I remember that my wife and I went in a Starbucks café in the Philippines and after a moment I was there something kind of bited me: Hey what's going on here? I see and feel something I feel nowhere else in this country!!! It was some pride!! A lot of pride!! No kidding, Filipinos feel super proud to be in a Starbucks with a big Official Starbucks beverage in their hands. You can almost see the American Eagle landing on their shoulders. They have one foot in Hollywood. You should see the Facebook profiles of the friends and relatives of my wife. They are almost all the same person. Almost ALL of them have pictures of themselves in a Starbucks. Sometimes it's some zoomed pictures of the big iced mochaccino they bought. Here in Canada nobody is proud to eat at McDonald's and KFC. It's the opposite. We tend to hide and make sure nobody saw us eating there because their meals are too basic and unhealthy. Filipinos don't see things the same way. They are proud to eat there and try to make sure everybody knows they ate a big Mac or a Mac Breakfast. LOOK AT ME GUYS!!! I MADE IT TO MCDONALD'S!!! LOOK AT ME, I'M SIT ON A COUCH IN THE LOBBY OF A BANK!!!! I'M OFFICIALLY SUCCESSULL!!
Another thing I don't understand, why almost all Filipinos have a picture of themselves with a semi transparent flag of France on it? It's so phoney! It's full of murders and terrorist attacks in the Philippines but Filipinos are pretending to be solidary with the terror attacks on Charlie hebdo that happened in Paris in 2015. Let me clarify something about this. Knowing how sensitive Filipinos are, the team of Charlie Hebdo would never survive more than a month in a country like the Philippines and almost nobody would buy their magazines. Satire and sarcasm are not part of the Filipino culture. Why the heck they collectively pretend to support France? For the freedom of expression? Divorce and abortion are not even legal in the Philippines but they suddenly support France. How about the pictures of silly religiois slogans they post all the time? Do they really believe them? Today There Is Nothing To Eat But God Loves Me. I bet even the worst criminals have pictures like this in their profiles.
Sarcasm is part of Filipino culture but it's very immature sarcasm. Things like 'edi wow' or 'ikaw na', the lowest form of wit basically. Sarcasm is mostly used to be bastos and some Filipinos think themselves hilarious and superior whilst doing it. The immaturity among Filipinos is crazy, I just don't know why so many of them are like that.
DeleteGrowing up with both westerners and Filipinos there are some observations to be made. First one must realize that in order to self reflect and come to an understanding of self we have to let go of pride. The Filipino psyche is extremely fragile to the point of pathological personality disorder. There is a deep sense of shame and envy which is unacknowledged in most people. One overcompensates shame by projecting an image of pride and superiority when an opportunity arises. There is a culture of covert narcissistic behaviour. At the core of the average filipino psyche is a very envious, insecure and confused individual. The Filipino values and ideals that are projected to the world cannot really be met by the average person so there is an infantile denial of one's wrong by projecting evil onto others. This way the ego is protected. You'll see people even taking pride in breaking rules which is a evident in severe malignant narcissism and sociopathy. A people that desperately tries to project a good, loving, God fearing type of image are deeply in denial of their own short comings as this has been the reality since childhood. One might also mention the prominence of anti intellectualism and severe religious dogma making the sense of shame even worse. Spiritual pride is one of the ways used to escape self reflection i.e "I'm God fearing, good person. If more people were like me it would be better".
ReplyDeleteThis is a very primitive culture we and the point is not shame, harm or bully but to understand why such behavior is so prominent.
Basically all the acts of cruelty, pride, hatred, dishonesty, murder, crime, infidelity, crab mentality you see all around you are ways of coping for the unacknowledged damaged Filipinos.
The intelligent Filipino capable of self reflection will not be angry while reading this because he knows it to be true. He also knows that he cannot progress intelligently until his primitive defenses are understood.
The Filipino with a superior inflated self image will deny any sense of responsibility and resort to ad hominem instead of acknowledging the situation. This person will not see things as they are because of the deep sense of attachment and shame associated. He is extremely vulnerable to criticism but enjoys the misfortune of others. This person will vigorously defend current problems by redirecting them at others i.e "there are bad people everywhere, other countries have corruption too".
Spiritual pride and covert narcissism is rampant in this society. Self denial , shame and inferiority incapacitates the people, rendering then incapable of truth and progress.

DeleteThis is so true. It's the standard reply. I've lived in different continents and the people are not the same at all.
You've also described narcissism. A narcissist is so vulnerable to criticism but likes to criticize others. He is the "king" without faults despite being a terrible person. This is so common in the Philippines.
I also notice that perfection does not exist in the Filipino culture. Everything is done to subpar quality. I had some car repairs done, in a western country I would have gone to court because it was so bad, it was partially also deliberately bad due to laziness. In the Philippines, the guy was known to do a "good job". What a sad joke.
Great write-up, kuya! I am also married to a pinay, and am writing a book about my good (and less good) experiences. Before her, I had met many pinays online, and truly seen the nasty side of some of these desperate women. But I know TRUE, well-raised pinays are priceless! If any man is lucky enough to find a traditional Filipina, he will be set for life. I'm writing my book about Filipinas - and Filipino culture - to help clear up the stigmatized western view of Filipinos. God bless u and Salamat for sharing this! - Blaise, Toronto, Canada 🇵🇭🇨🇦
ReplyDeleteThey are ridiculously immature and superficial. In the Filipino culture people focus a lot about the appearances. How many Filipinos believe that the Philippines is actually the best country in the world just because Miss Philippines won the most useless and immoral contest in the world: Miss Universe: the anti-intellectualism contest. ( did you hear her speech by the way? She said she smiles to poor kids, like it will help them lol. << Hi, I'm beautiful so when I smile at you it solves all your problem!>> Pinoy narcissism at its best. Intelligence is so unpopular in the Filipino culture that Filipinos think that this woman is smart when in reality she's stupid and fake. The word "fake" is weak to describe this pretender woman. She is super hypocrite. Filipinos need to make a socio-cultural revolution if they want to evolve and improve their country. The leader of that movement must to be the opposite of this Miss Big Smile Everything Is So Cute Keep Things That Way.
ReplyDeleteSo true! This Miss Universe is so fake, she is part of the oligarchy, if she really wanted to make a difference she should talk about overthrowing the oligarchy and them sharing the wealth they acquired for centuries
DeleteCome here fite me. @scott.mitchell
DeleteYou socialist, also being charlatan.
Yo check this out dude, you won't believe this shit...This Filipino woman is super proud of her armpit!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVK4Y7NAXtU
ReplyDeleteShe believes she's white just because of a soap. (Filipino complex of inferiority at it's best). With that soap bro, you have a US visa in the mailbox in less than a week. This pirate island of country is swimming in genocide from the government and millions of social problems but instead of trying to fix things, they care about their armpit! Amazing culture and mindset!

DeleteI'm laughing so much that my stomach hurts man!! No kidding, I have some tears in my eyes. That armpit girl thinks she's a specialist of "white armpits" and she takes this super seriously! She even answers to people's stupid questions like SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S TALKING ABOUT!! She's An Expert!! Don't mess with the Pros!
ReplyDeleteThis is really what I love about Filipino people. They often do hilarious things without trying nor knowing. But when they try to be funny it doesn't give the same results. Comedy shows make me feel like changing channel. The old freak of Ang Dating Daan that passes 24 7 on Phil National television is 1000 times more funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8XQZdCjpE4
But he doesn't answer people's stupid questions.
Who said about being an expert, I am never proud of my armpit! Why don't you show your armpit too, let's see if you have a problem too and let's find a product that would work on us. I am not the only one who made that soap video trying to prove it does work or not. Never did I say am an expert. I am just a consumer not an expert!
DeleteI can't believe such people exist on earth. Watch this:

No shame at all. You're description of the braggart and phony Filipinos is very accurate.
