Unexpected UBER experience!!!

I've been using UBER whenever I'm on vacation. There are thousands of reasons why this app became handy and I'll share two of that reasons. They provide safety and convenience during transportation which the government blatantly ignore.

Who the hell don't want to be safe? Tell me!  So my dear UBER, you've been a great help filling the commuters need.

Now, let me go to the reason of this story.

I just arrived from a full day hike. Given that Its already late and still halfway from my home. I've decided to ride UBER. Booked it and 5 mins my ride is downstair.

At first, his waze isn't working (because sometimes this app needs to be refreshed) therefore he asked me If I knew the way while he's fixing the app. I'm glad to assist him of course (why not, I knew my way and it will both benefit me and him for arriving early instead of getting annoyed by this small interruption). We we're in stop n' shop when the waze finally revive.

While we are on the way, he started the conversation because I think he feels that its incovenient for me that his app isn't working whereas I don't at all (things like that is understandable and unexpected). During the convo, I was tempted to asked if he's Chinese which he straigtfully answered, 'Yes, I am'.

He looked at me and asked if I'm a Chinese too but said I'm not. The convo was actually full of insights. I got to know that he is a business owner with a services of installing CCTV cameras. He told me that he provide services to this clients M.Y. San, San Miguel and most of the Gas stations. I was then curious why he drive for UBER given the above story.

He said, this is my other sideline. If there is no much project, I drive with UBER at night. After that, I felt so much respect for this man. I'm priviledged and humbled to be seated next to him. You'd be glad to be able to meet someone who works hard, doesn't give a damn to status quo, doesn't care if he owned a business.  He is putting all effort to make a value of himself by providing his skills of driving. I would not be shocked if success would strike him more.

P.S. By the way, he owned an MT suzuki celerio. And yes he's a business owner. How frugal and hardworking are u?

Book Review: The Leader Who Had No Title - Robin Sharma

Hey, Readers!

I am here again to share a book review. I'm glad to have finished it. The LWT by Robin Sharma which stands for the Leader Without Title gives you the idea that whatever stature you have in life     one can emerge from Leadership. It argues that Leadership is not exclusively for CEO's or those high managerial positions but for everyone's plate.

The frame of the story revolved around Blake who is a previous US army and was working at the book store unsatisfactory. There he met his unrealized mentor Tommy, 77 and has been working for the same position ever since but received the same treatment as those of the CEO. As Tommy enter the scene, he came to rescue Blake from misery of self deprivation. Given that he see no value at what he do. Tommy then took the life changing assistance for Blake bringing him the 4 teachers who will help him understand the 4 cores of LWT.

'And regardless of whether your have a formal title or not you have total control of       how you show up in your current role. The highest of all human abilities is the ability each one of us has to respond to the environment we find ourselves within.'

Overall, I would like to recommend this for beginners of all sort. Its advisable for those long tenured employees or those small post at any organization. Whether youre a housekeeper, a massuer, a simple book clerk etc. You could benefit from reading this. It has a bunch of acronyms and there was a redundant phrase of word that should have been re-phrase.

If you have read several leadership book like those of Ziglar, Maxwell, Robins and Gladwell. You'll realize to recall all that you have learned takes you to the different books you have seen. I got bored a little bit for this same reason. I have heard it in other business book and felt that I already know certian core values Robin have shared. The way it was written has some setbacks as the necessary learning could instantly argue as fictional but as the author stated even the events and character are on this category the situation is all based on real circumstances. So far, I'll give this a 3 star.

Survey from Candidate No. 3

I had a recent interview, all of the candidates are Pinay which I find amazing (they love pinoy talaga). Syempre being the natural Ms. Congeniality, I'm always the who start the conversation. I make brief convo to those who are still waiting for their spotlight to be grilled.

It goes like this:
Me: Kanina ka pa?
Me: San ka dito nag-iistay? (UAE)
Me: San ka ba sa Pinas?
Then, the ice glacier break a little bit and the conversation are starting to evolve.

After the interview, its natural for them to ask how it goes and share what they have experienced. The agony goes on and I always pacify their feelings at the end of it.

Afterwards, we get into the same ride as we go home. The easiest trasportation of course is the metro station. And your rivalry from the interview became your instant friends that only last as you parted away off the metro.

I always make a setup of other people's situation on myself wherein I utilized it to survey the mindset of people and their views. I then ask if they'll engage into a relationship wherein the partner was already entangled back to its home country. The replies goes to this, which I'm glad to hear:

Candidate No. 3: Hay ano kaba sinasayang mo lang ang buhay mo dyan..
Candidate No. 3: Nangyari na sakin yan, 6 years din yun ngayon ito ako, nagsisisi..
Candidate No. 3: Hanap ka nalang ng iba, bata ka pa naman.
Candidate No. 3: Hindi ka ba nakokosensya sa pamilya ninya, although kasalanan din nung lalaki
Candidate No. 3: Kung kapatid kita, tutuktukan kita talaga
Candidate No. 3: Alam ko talaga na ang lugar na to, wala ka kakilala at di maiiwasan na magkagusto ka. Kaya lang wag sa ganun. Sayang ka
Candidate No. 3: Ay, anung number mo hanap nalang kita ng okay. Dali..

This girl wouldn't stop even I told her that I get her point. She's way too concerned and goes to more example of herself.

The above response gives you Candidate no. 3's personal experience and greatly put significance that she's against extra marital affairs.

I have done this experiment because I get to see people on this type of arrangement. I don't judge them on the path that they have chosen but all I want to share is a little bit of enlightenment.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Hey, Readers!

Another book has been accomplished. Actually, you could finish this in one seating but mine was irritatedly stopped when my battery died few pages before I'm almost at the end and before you cut me off, I have a power bank to recoup my intense hype reading.

The Alchemist, well its a refreshing classic piece of art. Its about a young sheperd who went to tremendous journey looking after his treasure. As he travel, he met certain people that provided experiences and wisdom. He took the leap to let go of what little comfortable he have in exchange of the unknown treasure travelling to Egypt. As he goes step by step, he met significant people that helped him figure out how oneself view life.

During the expedition, he went on to pursue his personal legend,
discovering the soul of the world.

The entire story will give you the surge of motivation on pursuing your dreams.
Just like Santiago, he dwelled on the things he must let go in order to move a closer step to his treasure. Each places gave him blockage to his destination.

Several circumstances made his life in danger but as he goes on, his personal treasure begin to uncover. Everything he went through had made him invibe what he already have.

Paulo Coelho, published this best selling book when he was 38. It has the taste of dillema on questioning what it is that we seek in life? And why am I here for?
Its a gold nugget to provide you an idea of your personal legend. It gives you similar circumstances of emphyness and fear. The courage to go on and a question to stop. Overall, its always you and what your heart believes in that matter.

I would recommend this book for those who feel stagnant. Who wants to get on to another phase but afraid to do so because it requires to let go of what you have. Every difficult decisions in life must have something in exchange. It always not comfortable but eventually you'll understand why few have been able to discover their legends. Its Maktub as Paulo repeatedly say.

You'll see this line as Santiago travel to Egypt, 'Love never keeps a man from pursuing his personal legend.

Go on, discover your personal legend.

Miriam Defensor-Santiago for President!

I kept on hearing that my vote will be put into waste when I vote for Sen. Miriam for the reason that she's going to be dead anytime soon. For you folks who take a hold on to this horseshit, reality is--everybody will have the privilege to enjoy this suffering in due time. Propaganda is just having a hard time trying to squeeze bad traits because there aren't any so they go to her well being which is way too strong to put an end. Your not a fortune teller to know what's ahead of Sen. Miriam's life but knowing her capability to run this country is fully enough. By the way, I am only willing to argue to a person whom has a special immunity to death, otherwise keep your thoughts into your throat.

Proof read: This is what I've posted on Facebook as the above sound to foul.

I kept on hearing that votes will be put into waste when they vote for Sen. Miriam for the reason that she's going to be dead anytime soon. For you folks who take a hold in to this insanity, reality is---everybody share the privileged to enjoy this fact of life, of course in due time. Propaganda is just having a hard time trying to squeeze bad traits of her coz there aren't any. Therefore, they go to her well being which is way too strong to put an end, even her Guardian Angel can't kill her guts. So how dare you? You're not a fortune teller to know what's ahead of Sen. Miriam's life but knowing her capability to run this country is fully enough. By the way, I am only willing to argue to a person whom has a special immunity to death, otherwise keep your thoughts into your throat.

Review: Letters to a Young Lawyer by Alan Dershowitz

Enjoyed having this short book of 'Letters to a Young Lawyer' this is a fresh and juicy introduction for those thinking of entering Law school and has some useful information about life too. Alan Dershowitz will take you to the inside of Law environment. The  behavior and certain insights he have encountered through out his career. He will define to you what it means to be a Lawyer and the things that comes to it whether you like it or not.

You may also have queries in your mind like ..How can a lawyer defend those accused of heinous crime? How can they sleep by helping them get out of jail? You would find the answers to this and provide a new frame of understanding. You would even respect how they're able to manage this type of life. You'll often hear the phrase the means justify the end depends on the situation it incorporates.

The book will take you to the house of Judiciary, and court Justices, the way some mensch take a case, excerp from certain outstanding lawyers and prosecutors. From time to time you'll get terms of the law which tickle your curiousity. The sum of it is actually a view of being on the side of a lawyer's life, being the representative on behalf of the client. The spokesperson of your rights according to the constitution.

Of course, there are factors to everything. Alan made a way for those young lawyers to provide vivid picture of what he/she are yet to discover and the circumstances it may bring that may shock or grip your heart. I would recommend that you read this whatever profession you may have, its more beneficial for those entering law although its also an informative material for everyone outside this business-- to know their legal rights when they seek to get a representation.

Basic Checklist for Second Hand Vehicles

I've learned today during my conversation with Amir our driver for over 3 years now that when the meter of a car exceeded/ reached to 300,000 mileage it indicates that it must be replaced or sold out as the best life cycle of it have already consumed. He learned it when he was working on rent-a-car company wherein he used to drive luxury BMW's.

Some third world countries still has cars running with 800,000 mileage but its already dangerous as you'll encounter more problem related to its mechanism. Thus, second hand owners will incur consistent technical fuss which means more money goes to the sink. As for the replacement of wheels he added, it is best to replace it every 6 months.

For a neophyte like me, its beneficial to know this basic considerations, more so to those people interested to buy second hand vehicles.
